Resilient Healthcare Coalition Urges Federal Action on Health Data Interoperability

On January 8, 2026, the Resilient Healthcare Coalition (RHC) sent a letter to the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, urging the federal government to swiftly reintroduce health data interoperability legislation, modeled on the former Connected Care for Canadians Act (Bill C-72). This critical step aligns with the RHC’s mission to strengthen Canada’s healthcare system by enabling secure data sharing, reducing fragmentation, which in turn would improve patient access to care and innovations.
